There are no 'rich people' or 'poor people' – rich thinking leads to a rich life, no matter how much money you have in the bank. And as for the question of luck, the scientific research shows that's not so.

A recent American university study into the effects of what is called 'proactive personality' revealed that those individuals who identify opportunities and act upon them make more money, get promoted more often, and are happier in their work. In other words, we create our own luck by the way we think, feel, and act in the world.

As champion baseball player and World Series winner Earl Wilson once said, 

'Of course success is a matter of luck - just ask any failure!'
